Common Female Athlete Menstrual Cycle Issues

The myth of common = normal is one that we need to bust!!!!

It is not normal to have painful periods every month.

It is normal to have a relatively pain-free regular period every 26-35 days for 4 to 5 days.

Have you been led to believe period pain is normal because it is common?

Female fighters often see their monthly period as an annoyance that interferes with their training and it's especially annoying if it arrives when you are due to make weight or compete.

The reality is, your period is your monthly report card from your body, letting you know how it is doing. If you are experiencing any extreme symptoms, something is a miss and you should try to figure out what it is. Work with a professional who can help you get your period symptoms into the normal side of the picture above!
